Jamra (جمرة) means ember in Arabic—a name inspired by the intense crimson embroidery that seems to glow against the shawl’s deep black background.
This statement shawl is richly covered in intricate Palestinian Tatreez, creating an almost tapestry-like surface of repeating florals, branching forms, and geometric motifs.
